Obasanjo, Lasisi, Ebiti storm Abeokuta for UNIFEMGA maiden Agric symposium, exhibition

All arrangements have been concluded to receive former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the first Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA), Ogun State Chapter, agricultural exhibition and symposium.
Others slated for the one day programme on Saturday Nov. 20, include former Vice Chancellor of University of Uyo, Prof. Fola Lasisi and Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti, the BOT Chairman of UNIFEMGA and Pro Chancellor of Summit University.
According to the Chairman Local Organising committee, Alhaji Shamsideen Adenopo, the theme of the first of its kind symposium is : “Agricultural Business and Economic Insecurity; The Way Forward for Entrepreneurs”.
Speaking in the same vein, Mr. Tairu Sikiru Olanrewaju, the Chairman, Ogun state Chapter of the Association said the maiden event is expected to have
young entrepreneurs, food manufacturers, farmer groups, in-put suppliers, policy makers, agricultural machine and implements fabricators, merchants, financial institutions,
product exhibitors and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).
Others, according to him included major stakeholders who will share and discuss ideas as concerns the Agric-business sector.
The programme scheduled to hold at the prestigious Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State, from 9.00 a.m will also have Dr Adéọlá Odedina, the Commissioner for Agriculture in Ogun state and Chief Alaba Lawson, Iyalode of Egbaland in attendance.
Experts slated for the occasion include Dr Abideen Olaiya, of the Dept. of Crop Production and Protection, (FUNAAB) as Chairman while the panel of discussants will be: Alhaji Murthada Adeniji, MD/CEO, Starlink Global & Ideal Ltd., Lagos; Prof. Abdul-Razaq Adebowale, Dept. of Food Science and Technology, FUNAAB; and Dr. Muiba Shittu Modupe, Dept. of Plant Breeding and Seed Technology, (FUNAAB).
Other stakeholders expected at the symposium included Dr Nabeel Adeyemi as Moderator, Alhaji Abdulfattah Olanlege, National President, UNIFEMGA, as Chief Host as well as other branches of UNIFEMGA nationwide.
