Ogunwuyi Felicitates with Soun at 92, Describes Him Architect Of Modern Ogbomoso

Lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi, and has described the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba (Dr.) Jimoh Oladunni Ajagungbade III, as the architect of modern Ogbomoso with the level of development he has brought to the ancient town.

 

The lawmaker said the king has taken the lead among his peers in the area of new developments as manifested in the spate of developments the town has recorded in the past years of his reign.

 

Ogunwuyi ‎contented that no monarch has matched Soun’s achievements in the history of Ogbomoso as evident in the giant strides recorded in the town.‎

 

Ogunwuyi stated this in his congratulatory message to the Soun of Ogbomoso in a release signed his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Peter Adegbola Ayoade in Abuja yesterday.

 

He stated that it was evident that the present reign has brought new developments to the nooks and crannies of the town, a bid he said no king has achieved since the creation of the town.

 

Ogunwuyi maintained that without mincing words or being sentimental, the present reign under the monarch has been able to change the perception of the people as some kings being enthroned to flex power, explaining that the present reign has shown to all that the business of the monarch was to make life better for the people.

 

The lawmaker while commending the campaign for unity by the Soun of Ogbomoso, eulogised the traditional ruler for using his elderly wisdom for the development of the town, saying if he had chosen otherwise, the town would have remained stagnant.

 

Recounting some of the new developments that emanated in the town, Ogunwuyi stressed that he is particularly pleased with the institution (LAUTECH) instituted as one of the developments that saw the light of the day just as he noted that the beautiful structure will go a long way in encouraging the students to want to attend school and also serve as employment opportunity for the people.

 

According to the lawmaker, “I am not from Soun royal family and I am not being sentimental with what I am about to say, among all the kings in Ogbomoso, baba has redefined monarchical system, he has brought a paradigm shift to monarchy in the country and he has brought a change to obaship in our land.

 

Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, wished Soun longevity and prosperity, and also prayed that the rest of his life will be the best of his life.
