PARTY SUPREMACY OUR SUCCESS STORY IN NIGER APC-GOV SANI-BELLO

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello has attributed the rising profile of the ruling party, All Progressives Party (APC),in the state to strict adherence to the principle of party supremacy.

He stated this on Saturday in his office in Minna while hosting a group of leaders of the opposition party the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by its State Deputy Chairman,Hon. Aminu Yusuf that defected to the ruling APC.

The decampees include Niger State Deputy Chairman of PDP, former Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adamu Usman, former members of the State executive council, special advisers and director generals in the administrations of Engr. A. A Kure and Dr.. Muazu Babangida Aliyu, as well as former elected local government chairmen and their supporters.

The Governor advised the new members to ensure compliance with the party structure by recognizing and adhering to the principle of party Supremacy.

“The cohesion, progress and unity we are witnessing in Niger State, APC today are product of strict adherence to the party Supremacy. We have and we respect party Supremacy here and I am glad that the caliber of people coming back to the family are experienced party men.

“I want to advice that you all go back to your wards and build strong and cordial relationship. You are all party men, go to the wards and romance with our members and possibly massage them, as you come to share your experience and help to further build a strong party in the state,” the governor advised.

He assured the decampees of immediate assimilation into the party, with a pledge that his administration was prepared to engage them in delivering the restoration Agenda of his administration.

The state chairman of the party, Engr. Imam Jibrin Gawu described defection of the former opposition chieftains as a good omen both for the state and the party, stressing that “this development will further strengthen the party”.

The APC boss assured the incoming members of equal rights and privileges that accrue to party members irrespective of point and time of joining the party.

“Mr. Governor, we have come to present our brothers and sisters who are coming back home. I want to assure them that they start to enjoy all the rights and privileges of the party like old members.
