Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru of the All Progressives Congress has replaced David Umahi as the deputy Senate leader.
Ashiru who is representing Kwara South took over Umahi’s place after his appointment as the Minister of Works by President Bola Tinubu.
Also, the Senate appointed Senator Nwebonyi Onyeka as the new Deputy Chief Whip.
Mr Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President announced the new appointments at plenary on Wednesday.
