The Senator, representing Delta North senatorial district in Nigeria senate, Sen Nwoko Chinedu Munir, has assured Nigerians that both chambers of National Assembly would continue to support Security agencies in ensuring adequate protection of lives and property of Nigerians regardless of their social status and also put a stop to incessant killings been perpetrated by some bad eggs in the nation’s law enforcement agencies
Senator Nwoko stated this today while addressing newsmen in the National Assembly,Abuja.The Senator expressed sadness over the killing of a 2year old toddler in Delta state by NDLEA operatives.
He said Nigerians irrespective of their status deserved to live and not to be killed by those who are been paid to protect them and their property.
While expressing his condolence to the family of the victims of the stray bullet, Nwoko assured that the perpetrators of the killing will not go scot free.
Sen.Nwoko therefore called on security agencies to conduct proper background check,and ensure those who are to be recruited pass through mental health test,this he said will put a stop to avoidable killings of innocent people by the armed operatives of the nation’s security agencies.
