On March 16, 2025, the congregation gathered in fervent anticipation for the third Sunday service of the month, following the conclusion of the Transfiguration Week on March 9, 2025.
The atmosphere was charged with expectancy, as the vibrant harmonies of the youth choir filled the sanctuary, preparing hearts to receive a transformative message.
Sister Favour Otuneye, a dynamic and anointed speaker, took to the pulpit to deliver a powerful sermon titled “Divine Intervention Unto Restoration.” Her message, rooted in personal testimony and biblical truth, ignited hope and renewed faith in the hearts of all present.
Sister Otuneye began by sharing her personal journey of faith, recounting how God had instructed her to remain steadfast in faith and obedience as a prerequisite for His divine intervention in her life. She emphasized the importance of unwavering trust in God, even in the face of adversity, and underscored the necessity of gratitude as a cornerstone of the Christian walk. Her testimony served as a poignant reminder that God’s promises are fulfilled when His people align their hearts with His will.

Following the sermon, a panel discussion was convened to address the timely and often debated question: “Should Christians involve themselves in politics”? The discussion featured diverse perspectives from panelists and congregants alike, reflecting a range of theological and practical viewpoints.
After robust deliberation, the consensus was clear: the church must actively engage in the political sphere. This conclusion was strongly endorsed by the senior pastor, Rev. Babatunde Idowu, PhD, who emphasized the importance of Christians influencing society through godly leadership and governance. He urged believers to see political participation not only as a civic duty but also as a spiritual mandate to advance God’s kingdom on earth.
