Niger State Governor and leader of the All Progressive Congress in the state, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello has expressed profound appreciation and gratitude to party Stalwarts, loyalists and supporters who thronged out to welcome him on his return from ECOWAS summit with President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said the massive crowd that greeted him to a tumultuous welcome on arrival clearly demonstrates the party’s political clout, acceptance, dominance and superiority in the political landscape of the state.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, the Governor attributed the massive show of solidarity and support by Nigerlites to the genuine effort put in by the present administration to address issues of development across the state.
According to him, the mammoth reception also poses a great challenge for the government to strive to do more in meeting the yearnings and aspirations of the citizens.
“I must say that I am particularly gratified and overwhelmed by the warm reception and solidarity support accorded me. Our party remains a strong force in the state and we are committed to consolidating that position.
The Governor reassured that the APC-led administration at the state and national levels would continue to put people at the center of its development process stressing that for good governance to be meaningful, it has to be proactive and pro-people.
Governor Sani-Bello enjoined Nigerlites to rally round and support the Buhari-led administration whose integrity and passion for the progress and development of the country has remained legendary.
Gov Sani-Bello commended both commercial and private road users, pedestrians and other people affected by traffic gridlock between Paiko and Minna Metropolis on the Minna-Suleja road during the rally, for their patience and understanding. The Governor apologised on behalf of the stakeholders for the inconveniences.
