DHQ Confirms X Account Compromised, Warns Public Against Fake Posts

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has confirmed that its official X account has been compromised, urging members of the public to disregard suspicious, unauthorised or misleading content posted from the account.   The DHQ disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday by the Director of Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba, who said the incident was being treated as a cybersecurity matter.   According to the military authorities, appropriate technical measures have been activated to secure the account and prevent further unauthorised access, while efforts are ongoing to fully restore…

PTAD Pays ₦3.82bn Pension Arrears to 30,356 DBS Pensioners

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has disbursed ₦3.82 billion in accrued pension arrears to 30,356 pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS).   The Directorate disclosed that a total of ₦3,817,568,592.80 was paid to affected pensioners across the Parastatals Pension Department (PaPD), Defunct and Transferred Agencies Pension Department (DTAPD), and Tertiary, Education and Health Pension Department (TEHPD).   The payment represents arrears arising from the Back-End Computation (BEC) Review Exercise undertaken by PTAD to address complaints relating to pension computations and outstanding entitlements of DBS pensioners.   According to…
