Niger State Government has officially and mutually exited the tripartite agreement on the Madalla Housing Estate in Suleja Local Government Area. Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello has directed that salaries and allowances of all Political Appointees in the State be slashed by 30%. A statement issued by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane disclosed that the reduction of the salaries of the Political Office Holders is with immediate effect. Niger uncovers 11,000 ghost workers collecting N672m monthly

The Niger State Government has uncovered over 11,000 ghost workers and saved over N672 million meant for fictitious monthly salary payments. Niger State has recorded its first COVID-19 death. This however occurred among the eight new cases confirmed by the NCDC.
