Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Nzenwo Wike has honored former Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris with the highest state award.
The award which took place at the banquet hall of the government house in Porthacourt on Saturday attracted dignataries from all walks of life.
According to Rivers State Governor, Idris was honored for his genuine commitment to the development of the state and the entire country.
“For two consecutive time ,we have invited the two term Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris to commission two developmental projects in Rivers State, one was in March this year and the other was in August, 2022.”
“We hold him in high esteem and considered him as a worthy a
ambassador of Rivers State.”
“As a stakeholder for Rivers State project, we will not hesitate both noe and in the nearest future to continue to eat into his good time for the continuous development of the state.”
Reacting to the Rivers State honor, Jakadan Sokoto described the event as epoch making, considering the all round development of Governor Nyesom Nzenwo Wike in the state.
He expressed delight for been part of the success story, advising state governors to strife to leave a good mark on the sands of time.
