With a northern Christian, Tinubu can win election! By Haruspice

So, as a northern Muslim, before you vote for a candidate, he must be a Muslim? I don’t understand! When has being a Muslim become a criterion for good governance? Being religious does not equal credible leadership; it only oils your relationship with the Almighty God and not necessarily a determinant of your political or economic decision. If you love Asiwaju Tinubu, your love should be enough to be blind to other assumed shortcomings- be more Islamic by being fair to other feelings, that is the creed upon which Islam is built- fairness, equity and justice- the prophet peace be upon him was clear and firm on these.

In 2011, the Muslim northern voted massively for Goodluc Ebele Jonathan against a Muhammadu Buhari – an undoubtedly virtous Muslim, so those saying Asiwaju would lose the polls if he picks a northern Christian as a running mate are being needlessly paranoid, hysteria and alarmist- they are being insensitive to the realities around us. We know equality is not equity that is why we are calling that consideration should be given to all no matter your argument for no world is beautiful if the weak are not protected by the strong. Life is sweet only when we give premium to our peculiarities. Tinubu can win his election with a Christian running mate; it’s not cowardice, it is fairness.

Only weak minds make decisions on the caprices of sentiments, same way, only a caveman wishes for himself all the good of life when he knows, besides him, there are other cavemen. Think of a Nigeria united by fairness and not a Nigeria disunited by perforated mutual distrust and divided loyalty. I am a Nigerian, and I preach for inclusiveness for man was created, man before he became religious
