2019 ELECTIONS: Gov Sani-Bello Asks Appointees Aspiring for Elective Office To Resign

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello has directed all political office holders aspiring for any elective office in the forth coming general elections in 2019 to immediately resign their appointment.

 

This directive was contained in a statement on Thursday in Minna, the state capital and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, (SSG), Hon. Ibrahim Isah Ladan.

 

The decision to this effect was reached at the weekly state executive council meeting held in Government House on Wednesday.

 

According to the statement, the decision to relief the political appointees of their jobs was to enable interested appointees pursue their ambition and for their effective participation in campaigns and other activities.

 

The statement further said that Governor Sani-Bello recognised the support and appreciated their tremendous contributions towards the actualization of the restoration agenda of his administration.

The Governor also wish them well in their future endeavours.
