President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the death of Lt. President Bola Tinubu, has appointed Major General Olufemi Olatubosun Oluyede as the Acting Chief of Army Staff (COAS).   A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, explained that Major General Oluyede will act in the position pending the return of the substantive Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.   Until his appointment, Major General Oluyede served as the 56th Commander of the Elite Infantry Corps of the Nigerian Army, based in Jaji, Kaduna.

The Niger state Governor, Umaru Bago has approved N80,000 as minimum wage for civil servants in the state.
