No doubt, Chief James Abiodun Faleke JAF remained an incontrovertible Kingmaker of our time , as declared by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while on thank you tour to the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwanu Akiolu after winning the 2023 Presidential election that held in May , 2023.
Faleke who represented Ikeja federal constituency for many consecutive times, had threw his weight earlier before Nigeria’s President on the need to elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next Nigeria President, many years before now, hence he remained the protagonist of EMILOKAN as propagated by the current Nigeria leader, during the declaration of his intentions before former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Christmas boy who served as the Director General, Tinubu Campaign Council, no doubt performed beyond expectations of not only people from the south west, but Nigerians that led to the victory and emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Elated by his commitment and dedication to the course of President Tinubu’s victory at the polls, the President publicly asked the Lagos high monarch to appreciate his subject , James Abiodun Faleke JAF for his selfless determination that led to his victory.
Unperturbed by the spoilt of power, Representative Faleke retracted to his primary assignment of lawmaking as reappointed Chairman , House Committee on Finance of the House of Representatives.
The current “Afobaje” in Yoruba parlance and hegemony preference to continue with his legislative assignments inspite of his enormous power at the Executive arm of government, had threw many Nigerians off balance , going by his level of wisdom and knowledge.
Alot of speculations and permutations, name callings and rumours that was going round the seasoned lawmaker was not an avenue to influence his choice of remaining at the legislative arm of government, at his own choice and personal decisions.
This positive development and decisions of the political enigma had doused early cynicisms and criticisms going round to create crises within the kitchen cabinet of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the early days.
For Faleke, he had quickly recognised Asiwaju as an unrepentant political son and non negotiable political father as he settled down to the legislative business of the 10th House of Representatives.
The political maturity and sagacity displayed by the Chairman, House committee on Finance, Rt Honorable James Abiodun Faleke was a plus to his leadership wisdom and maturity in recent times.
