The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has decorated 13 newly promoted officers recently elevated from the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).
The decoration ceremony, held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the FCT Police Command Headquarters, Abuja, was witnessed by senior officers of the Command, family members, and colleagues of the promoted officers.
Speaking at the event, CP Dantawaye congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions, described the elevation as a recognition of their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to duty. He noted that the new ranks come with increased responsibilities and higher expectations.
The Commissioner charged the officers to uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties, while justifying the confidence and trust reposed in them by the Inspector-General of Police, who approved their substantive promotions.
He further urged the newly promoted CSPs to remain exemplary in conduct and service delivery, in line with the core values of the Nigeria Police Force, and to contribute meaningfully to improved policing and public safety in the Federal Capital Territory.
The ceremony underscored the Command’s commitment to rewarding excellence and strengthening leadership capacity within the Nigeria Police Force.
