Edo State Governor Nominates Six for Commissioner Positions

In a move to bolster the Edo State Executive Council, Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo has nominated six individuals for the position of Honourable Commissioners.

The nominations, which are subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly, included seasoned professionals from various sectors.

The nominees are:

1. Hon. Paul Nosayaba Ohonbamu – A veteran legal practitioner with significant legislative and executive experience, having previously served as Commissioner for Information and Orientation.

2. Hon. Dr. Washington Osa Osifo – A distinguished lawyer and former Commissioner for Education and Energy, with extensive knowledge in governance and public administration.

3. Dr. Paddy Iyamu – An expert in human resource management and security, currently serving as Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

4. Sir Lucky Eseigbe – A legal consultant and former Legislative Aide with a strong background in public infrastructure management.

5. Andrew Ijegbai – An environmental scientist and business executive specializing in environmental restoration and infrastructure development.

6. Barr. Marie Olabisi Idaomi – A legal expert with extensive experience in corporate law and public policy, providing strategic counsel to both local and international organizations.

 

The Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., stated that these nominations reflect the Governor’s commitment to enhancing governance and driving development across the state.
