Eid-el-Kabir: Akpabio greets Muslims, calls for Unity, Patience amid National Reforms

President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, has felicitated with Muslims across Nigeria and around the world on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, urging citizens to uphold the values of peace, sacrifice, and patience in the face of national challenges.

In a goodwill message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, the Senate President emphasised the spiritual and moral lessons of the festival, describing it as a period that reflects faith, obedience, and compassion.

“As we commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, we are reminded of the virtues of obedience, faith, and selflessness.

“I urge all Nigerians to embody these principles in their daily lives and to promote a culture of peace, understanding, and mutual respect.”Akpabio said.

Senator Akpabio acknowledged the socio-economic challenges facing the country and noted that the ongoing reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration are necessary steps toward sustainable growth and development.

“Though these reforms may be tough, they are beginning to yield results and paving the way for a brighter future. I encourage Nigerians to remain patient and resilient as we work together to build a stronger nation,” he said.

He further called on Nigerians to use the Eid celebration to strengthen interfaith harmony and national unity.

“May Allah bless our dear country, Nigeria, and grant us lasting peace, prosperity, and progress. On behalf of my family, constituents, the 10th Senate and the entire National Assembly, I say Eid Mubarak to all Muslims,” he added.
