The Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ ) Correspondents’ Chapel ,FCT Council will on Saturday April 17th slug it out with the Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC ) in a novelty football match to mark the end of the 2021 Press Week of the chapel.
The encounter will take place at Junior Government School ( JSS ) near Nigerian Custom Service Zone 3.Abuja by 9:00am.
Speaking to Emporium Reporters, the Chairman of NUJ, Philip Nyam expressed optimism over the FCT Chapel’s team’s ability to overcome FRSC FC just as he assured members and fans of victory.
He also charged the team to go all out and make the chapel proud.
Nyam said ” I believe our team is in good shape and ready for the encounter and our players are ready to face any opposition that comes our way”
He urged members to come out enmasse to cheer the team to victory..
Team Correspondents’ has engaged in series of training session ahead of the match.
The football match will be the climax of a week long press week with series of activities.
Recalled that Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom had on Thursday delivered a lecture titled ” Insecurity In Nigeria : Restoring Peace, Unity and Progress organised by the chapel and attended by prominent Nigerians.
