The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke on Thursday passed a glowing tribute to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Osun West Senatorial District, Akogun (Dr) Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi, who clocked 63 years, describing him as a fearless politician with immeasurable values.
Governor Adeleke who hailed Dr Oyewumi as a selfless politician, whose sacrifices weigh positively on the PDP, noted that his birthday present an incredible moment to honour his exceptional contributions to the good of mankind.
The Governor lauded Dr Oyewumi for remaining true to his avowed commitment to a better Osun state in the face of obvious frustration from oppressed forces, adding that he (Dr Oyewumi) role in the dislodge of the ruinous APC in Osun state is worthy of celebration.
“I congratulate Akogun (Dr) Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi on the auspicious occasion of his birthday. Dr Oyewumi is a true example of what a sincere politician should be, and I am honoured to share with him the joy of the moment of his birthday,” the Governor noted.
“For me and many others, especially in the Osun PDP, Dr Oyewumi is a politician with a difference as his uncommon sagacity, courage and principled stands on issues stand him out among his peers.”
Governor Adeleke who shared in the joy of the birthday of Dr Oyewumi, prayed for continuous good health, wisdom and strength for the PDP chieftain to continue to be of service to his people, Osun state, and Nigeria as a whole.
“As you celebrate 63 years today, my prayer is for Almighty Allah to continue to bless you with good health and give you victory in the upcoming election to represent Osun West Senatorial District,” he added.
Akogun (Dr) Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi was born on the 5th of January 1960. He was a former member of the House of Representatives, and served as Chairman for Irewole Local Government Area twice, and led ALGON in the state. He also served as Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission (NPC). He is the PDP candidate for the Osun West Senatorial District.
