The Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, has reaffirmed the Command’s readiness to strengthen its partnership with the 31 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Minna, to tackle security challenges and protect lives and property across the state.
CP Elleman gave the assurance when the newly deployed Commander of the 31 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Kabir Rabiu, paid a courtesy visit to the Police Command Headquarters at Dutsen Kura, Minna.
The Commissioner stressed that maintaining internal security was a collective responsibility requiring sustained collaboration, intelligence sharing and coordinated operations among security agencies.
He said the Niger State Police Command already had a strong working relationship with other security agencies, particularly the 31 Artillery Brigade, assuring that the partnership would be sustained and further strengthened.
CP Elleman described Brigadier General Rabiu as a highly experienced officer and expressed confidence that his deployment to the state would further enhance the existing cordial relationship between the two formations.
He urged the Brigade Commander to regard the Police Command as a reliable partner, assuring him of continued support and cooperation whenever required.
The Commissioner expressed optimism that sustained collaboration, effective intelligence sharing and coordinated operations among security agencies would significantly curtail prevailing security challenges and create a safer environment for residents of Niger State.
Earlier, Brigadier General Kabir Rabiu explained that the visit was to formally introduce himself to the Commissioner and management team of the Niger State Police Command following his deployment to the 31 Artillery Brigade.
The Brigade Commander noted that although he had previously met and interacted with CP Elleman informally, the visit provided an opportunity to establish a formal working relationship in their respective capacities.
He reaffirmed the Brigade’s commitment to sustaining and deepening the existing cordial relationship between the two formations, with emphasis on enhanced operational effectiveness, intelligence sharing, coordinated response and robust inter-agency cooperation.
According to him, stronger synergy among security agencies remains critical to effectively addressing the security challenges confronting Niger State and the country at large.
Brigadier General Rabiu also solicited the continued support of the Police Command, describing the Police as the lead agency in internal security, and called for regular and timely sharing of actionable intelligence to strengthen operational outcomes and facilitate prompt response to security incidents.
He commended CP Elleman for his support and participation during the send-off ceremony of his predecessor and appealed for continued cooperation to sustain the existing working relationship between the Police Command and the 31 Artillery Brigade.
