Gov Wike Promises Timely Completion Of 5,000 Seater Auditorium In NYSC camp

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has reiterated the commitment of his administration to the timely completion of the on-going multi-purpose auditorium and drainage projects inside the NYSC Orientation Camp in Nonwa-Gbam in Tai Local Government Area of the State.

He said the State has benefitted tremendously from the services of Corps Members’ intervention through health, agriculture, education, election, socio-economic and other sectors of the economy.

Governor Wike stated this today while receiving NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Port-Harcourt.

He commended the present Managers of the Scheme over its mentorship roles for graduate youths adding that his administration would continue to give priority to the NYSC Scheme in Rivers State.

‘Whatever you think we should do, let us know and we will continue to support NYSC’, Wike said.

Earlier, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim lauded the Governor for the increment and timely payment of monthly allowance to Corps Members deployed to the State.

He equally commended him for rapid transformation of the Orientation Camp and also for releasing a brand new vehicle for operational services of NYSC Rivers State Secretariat.

‘You are indeed a father to all Corps Members deployed to the State. We appreciate your assistance to the NYSC, we are proud of your gesture and NYSC will always be available to contribute to the development of Rivers State’, the DG added.
