An Oyo State governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ololade Usman Bakare, has congratulated Florence Ajimobi on her appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Austria.
In a congratulatory message, Bakare described Ajimobi’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of her longstanding commitment to the democratic ideals of the progressive political family.
He said the former First Lady of Oyo State has consistently demonstrated grace, strength, and compassion in her public engagements and service to society.
Bakare recalled that during her tenure as First Lady, Ajimobi championed several life-impacting initiatives aimed at supporting the young and the elderly across the state. According to him, her programmes positively touched many lives and uplifted communities, leaving behind what he described as a legacy of compassion and purposeful leadership.
He added that the new diplomatic responsibility reflects Ajimobi’s experience, integrity, and capacity to represent Nigeria with dignity on the global stage.
“Her appointment is not only a personal achievement but also a moment of pride for the people of Oyo State and the entire nation,” he said.
The cybersecurity expert expressed confidence that Ajimobi would leverage her experience and diplomatic skills to strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and Austria while advancing the country’s interests abroad.
