A right,Justice for Firdausa Advocacy Group in a statement signed by its National Secretary, Alaka Folashade In’amullah has distanced its self from a purported video clip widely aired by Oak TV on its Instagram page online and other social media platforms on the 6th February 2018.
In the said video clip one Sunday Abayomi was being interviewed, the background voice as well as the inscription below Sunday Abayomi’s name on the screen portrayed him as the Counsel acting for and on behalf of Miss Amasa Firdausa in a matter filed at the Federal High Court Abuja to stop the public hearing earlier scheduled to hold on the 6th February 2018 by the House of Representatives. The Background voice in the video clip and the description thereof categorically mentioned that Miss Amasa Firdausa wanted to stop the public hearing from holding and one Sunday Abayomi was her Counsel in the matter. Justice for Firdausa Advocacy Group stated clearly that Miss Amasa Firdausa did not file any matter at the Federal High Court Abuja or any other court whatsoever to stop the public hearing scheduled by the House of Representatives.
“The media report in the video clip can therefore be described as the figment of imagination of its peddlers. Once again for the umpteenth time, Firdausa is not looking for any cheap popularity and will only speak to the press when it’s time. We wonder why the media will be interested in misrepresenting the facts and engaging in sensationalism. It is worrisome that Sunday Abayomi, who was described in the video clip as a Legal Practitioner, would recklessly allow himself to be held out as Counsel to Miss Amasa Firdausa in a matter he and his cohorts filed for whatever motive they wanted to achieve. We are equally not unaware of the efforts of some stakeholders, popularity seeking opportunists and fictitious groups to frustrate the cause of justice on the issue of Miss Amasa Firdausa. They plan, He plans but He is the best planner.”the group maintained.
The group reiterated its determination and commitment not to relent until justice is done. .
They called on Oak TV to correct the misrepresentation created in the video clip posted on its Instagram page in another widely publicized video which they maintained was capable of misleading the public.
“We use this medium again to appreciate everyone who has lent voice of support to this cause, it is our belief that Miss Amasa Firdausa will get justice at the end of the day.” the group stated.
