I Built a Legacy of Confidence and Service – Dr Akor

The former Director General, National Productivity Centre, NPC, Dr Kashim Akor NPOM FNIM said he left a confident workforce, self assertion and development towards a robust productivity family.

 

Dr Akor dropped this message on Thursday during the sendforth program organised to honor him by the staff and management of the centre, held at Raw Materials Research and Development Council RMRDC hall in Abuja.

 

Akor who expressed delight on the achievements made over the years during his leadership maintained that he developed both human and material resources, that brought productivity at the front burner nationally and internationally.

 

He used the opportunity to recount the support of the staffs during his tenure and particularly the one displayed during her late mother’s death, stating that it was a mixed with emotion and reflections.

 

He said having built his legacy on firmness, he urged them to extend similar support to the new leadership of Dr Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha.

 

He stressed the decision to document his legacies through a book, “Under My Watch” to be freely distributed to all staffs and members of the public , so as to serve as a reference point.

 

Dr Akor appreciated the efforts of management and staffs , stating that the idea of documentation of events is to ensure continuity, innovations and reforms.

 

Earlier, the overseeing permanent secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment who represented the minsters, Mrs Juliana Anti Adebambo congratulated Dr Akor for a great feat, stating that sky will be his limit in future endeavors.

 

While congratulating his predecessor, the new Director General, National Productivity Centre NPC, Dr Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha said they owed the current successes in all spheres in the centre to the immediate past Director General, Dr Kashim Akor.

 

He thanked Dr Kashim Akor for imparting and impacting so much in promoting both staffs and the centre seamlessly for consecutive eight years, and many decades on the job.

 

He described Dr Akor as a game changer , who had brought alot of life to the development and advancement of the centre in recent times.

 

Highlights of the occasion included the decoration of a long service award and presidential award of National Productivity order of Merit NPOM on the former Director General during the occasion.
