The Council of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai has confirmed the promotions of five professors and four readers.
The confirmation was made at the 40th regular meeting of the Council held in the Senate Chamber, Main Campus, Lapai recently.
Those promoted to professorial seat were: Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Professor of Crop protection; Dr.Mohammed Saba Mohammed, Professor of Psychology and Sociology of Sport; Dr.(Mrs.) Bukola Roseline Olufunke, Professor of Counselling Psychology; Dr.Aliyu Jamiu, Professor of Arabic; and Dr.Musa Amanabo, Professor of Biochemistry.
The Readers were: Dr.Salihu Niworu, Reader in Political Science; Dr.Ibrahim Isah Lakan, Reader in Analytical Chemistry; Dr.Elele Ugoeze Ucheoma, Reader in Analytical Chemistry; Dr. Salihu A. Adelabu, Reader in Business Administration.
While congratulating the promoted academic staff, the Council Chairman, Dr. Mohammed K. Santuraki urged them to continue to work harder and use their new positions for the growth of the University.
