Innoson visits NNPC, pledges partnership with NNPC Research Center.

The Chairman of Innoson Vehicles, Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma OFR, paid a working visit to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Research, Technology, and Innovation Center (NNPC-RTI), Abuja.

 

The working visit was on the invitation by the Chief Innovation Officer of NNPC RTI, Mrs. Betty Ugona for a stakeholder engagement and product presentation of their latest innovation to Innoson.

 

The NNPC RTI team made a presentation on its novel Bi-Fuel Conversion Kit for Tricycles designed and built using local/indigenous resources by the NNPC-RTI Team.

 

The Bi-Fuel functional prototype tricycle that runs on both Premium motor spirit (PMS) and Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) a novel integrated conversion kit system and utility design which have given rise to what is called the “BI-FUEL TRICYCLE”.

Appreciating the NNPC RTI on its innovative products, Chief Chukwuma expressed satisfaction with the effort the Research, Technology, and Innovation Center is doing to ensure that the masses and average Nigerians who are the users of tricycles have their cost of fueling reduced drastically and moreso will increase the daily earnings of those using it for transportation business.

 

During the inspection of the Bi-Fuel prototype tricycle, Chief Chukwuma praised the innovation of the NNPC RTI team and further advised them on some possible areas that need little modifications. He further assured them that Innoson Vehicles will partner with the research center to ensure the success of their novel project.

 

Recall that Innoson Vehicles has equally begun the manufacture of CNG vehicles in line with the Federal Government directives for conversation of vehicles to CNG.
