LIFE ASSURANCE SCHEME: Niger CP presents cheques worths N20,757,938.28 to Eleven beneficiarie

The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Ogundele J. Ayodeji on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba presented cheques amounting to Twenty Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty-seven Thousand, Nine Hundred and Thirty-Eight Naira, Twenty-eight kobo (#20,757,938.28k) to eleven families of Police personnel who died in active service in the Command within the year 2021/2022.

 

The presentation of the cheques took place today 23rd December 2022 at the Police State Headquarters, Dutsen-Kura Minna amidst a moody moment. The Group Life Assurance Scheme is a welfare gesture, initiated by the Inspector General of Police geared towards improving the lives and capacity of the families left behind by the fallen officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

 

While presenting the cheques to the next of kin and family members, the Commissioner of Police appreciates the IGP for such a laudable initiative to provide succor for the families of the deceased persons. He encouraged the beneficiaries to effectively manage and judiciously use the resources for the better welfare of the families.

 

The families expressed satisfaction, and full of appreciation amid the emotional situation to the IGP, the Government, and the Commissioner of Police for their efforts in ensuring better care for the bereaved families while assuring that the resources will be well managed towards an improved standard of living of the relatives.
