The Lateefah Moyosore Durosinmi Foundation (LMDF) will hold the 8th Edition of its Annual Scholarship Awards to Students and grants to women on small scale businesses on Thursday, 22nd September, 2022 at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile- Ife, Osun state.
In a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Foundation, Dr Mrs Mistura Sanni, 39 new scholarship awards to students in primary/ secondary schools and further scholarship support to five students. She added that 33 women in small scale business shall be given grants while three will be empowered with sewing machines and Nylon making machine..
The beneficiaries are selected from the Six South West Zone States and Ife Central Local Government.
With these 2022 awards, the Foundation would have given out 245 scholarships and grants to 164 women. The Foundation has also continued to give further support to previous beneficiaries for sustainability.
The Chairman of the occasion is Engr. Alhaji Bashir Awotorebo while Professor Mrs. Serifat Labo-Popoola will speak on “Islamic Perspectives of Human Well-Being”
Other important guests and dignitaries have been invited to grace the occasion.
These included Professor Abubakre A. Sanusi, Professor Olubola Babalola, the Deputy Vice -Chancellor, (Academics), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile – Ife, Alhaji Fatai Kolawole, Alhaji Tajudeen Oke, Professor Muhib Opeloye, Prof. A .A Aransi, Prof. Suraj. Ajadi, Dr. Engr. H. Muhammad amongst several other dignitaries.
