NIMC Launches WhatsApp, Live Chat Platforms for Faster NIN Support

The National Identity Management Commission has introduced new digital customer support channels, including a WhatsApp line and live chat platform, to improve access to National Identification Number (NIN) services and enhance customer experience across the country.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Commission’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, NIMC said the initiative is part of ongoing reforms and digital transformation efforts under the leadership of the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote.

According to the Commission, Nigerians and legal residents can now access real-time support and make enquiries through the newly launched live chat feature on the official NIMC website and the official WhatsApp support line on +234 701 566 6971.

NIMC explained that the platforms were introduced to provide faster, more convenient, and responsive support services, while reducing the need for physical visits to enrolment and service centres.

The Commission noted that the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aimed at improving public sector efficiency through technology-driven solutions.

It added that the platforms would offer prompt responses to enquiries, real-time guidance, and verified information on NIN-related services and other identity management matters.

The Commission further urged Nigerians to use only its official communication channels and remain vigilant against misinformation and fraudulent activities.
