The Clerk to the National Assembly (CNA), Mr. Kamoru Ogunlana, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening legislative reforms, improving staff welfare, and advancing infrastructure development within the parliamentary system.
Speaking during his inaugural meeting with top management officials, Ogunlana emphasized the importance of amending the National Assembly Service Act and advancing the National Assembly Pension Board (Establishment) Bill, key initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the National Assembly bureaucracy.
In a statement signed by the Director of Information, Bullah Audu Bi-Allah, on behalf of the Secretary for Research and Information, the CNA highlighted that staff welfare remained a top priority, recognized its vital role in driving productivity and institutional stability.
Ogunlana also pledged to consolidate on the infrastructural developments initiated by his predecessor while addressing emerging security challenges within the Assembly complex.
Commending the leadership of the National Assembly for their unwavering commitment to legislative excellence, he stressed the need for continuous collaboration to uphold professionalism, accountability, and effective service delivery.
“The National Assembly remains the largest, busiest, and most dynamic parliament in Africa. Our collective commitment to progress and excellence will determine its future. Together, we must sustain a culture of professionalism, accountability, and unwavering service to the Nigerian people,” Ogunlana stated.
