The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has commended the dedication and resilience of Corps Members and staff in his New Year message, expressing optimism for greater accomplishments in 2025.
In a statement issued by the Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the Director General praised the unwavering commitment of Corps Members and staff to their duties, which significantly contributed to the Scheme’s remarkable achievements in 2024.
“Your dedication and steadfast commitment have been instrumental in advancing the NYSC’s mandate and driving our collective success,” the DG stated.
Looking ahead to 2025, he encouraged Corps Members and staff to intensify their efforts in promoting national unity, fostering integration, and supporting the nation’s development across critical sectors. The DG reaffirmed his commitment to engaging stakeholders to enhance facilities and expand opportunities for Corps empowerment through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program.
“I urge all Corps Members to actively participate in these initiatives and utilize them for personal and professional growth,” he added.
The Director General also extended his gratitude to the Scheme’s collaborating agencies and stakeholders, acknowledged their invaluable support and assuring them of strengthened partnerships and increased opportunities for collaboration in the new year.
The NYSC DG also reaffirmed the Scheme’s commitment to consolidating its achievements and enhancing its service delivery to Nigerians. He therefore wished Corps Members, staff, and stakeholders a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.
