Chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM),Hon.Abike Dabiri-Erewa has described the gruesome murder of a Diasporan, Alhaji Mutiu Agbosasa in Ikorodu, Lagos as saddening, disturbing and shocking.
In a condolence message by NIDCOM Head of Media and Public Relations Unit, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, said the circumstances surrounding the assassination of Agbosasa was unbelievable.
” Everyone who knew him described Alhaji Mutiu Agbosasa as a devout Muslim, kind, self-sacrificing, dedicated, easy-going and a man of integrity. His position as a Chartered Accountant at the Metropolitan Hospital in Brooklyn, New York City, USA for 45 years, was a testament of his brilliant hardwork.”
Dabiri-Erewa said the death was painful and callous .She condoled the family and charged the security agencies to ensure that the killers of Agbosasa did not go scot free but be tracked down to serve as deterrent to others.
” This is indeed sad. May Allah grant the family the fortitude to bear this loss, console them in the best manners and forgive the shortcomings of late Agbosasa by rewarding him with al-janah firdaus”.She prayed.
Late Agbosasa was reportedly killed by suspected hired assassins in his country home of Ikorodu Lagos on Tuesday after 45 years sojourn in United States of America where he recently retired back to country at the age of 72.
