Niger CP decorates 266 newly promoted officers ……. charges promotees to rededicate to duty, justify elevation

The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command ,CP Monday Bala Kuryas on 20th January, 2022 decorated 266 newly promoted officers serving in Niger State Police Command.
One (1) Chief Superintendent of Police was decorated with the next rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police; one (1) Superintendent of Police was also decorated with the next rank of Chief Superintendent of Police, seven (7) Deputy Superintendent of Police were decorated with the next rank of Superintendent of Police while two hundred and fifty-seven (257) unconfirmed Assistant Superintendent of Police were equally decorated to substantive Assistant Superintendent of Police.
The officer who was decorated with the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police is ACP Musa Muhammad Danko, prior to his promotion and decoration; was the officer in charge of the Intelligence Unit of Command.
The officer decorated with the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police is CSP Lateef Abiodun who is the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Tafa Division and officers decorated with the rank of Superintendant of Police are:-
-SP Mary Joji–Medical Services
-SP Mary Ajimoko–DCO GRA Div
-SP Dennis Okhuelegbe–0/C Mess
-SP Portharcourt Kennedy–DCO Gawu-Babangida Div.
-SP Jinadu Mustapha–DCO Tafa Div
-SP Morenike Olukayode–12pmf
-SP Nyitor Isaac–61 pmf.
Among other officers confirmed into the substantive Assistant Superintendent of Police include:-

-ASP Umar Oshafu–A/O OPs
-ASP Kolo Dorcas-Communication
-ASP Ezekiel Bala–SCID

Meanwhile,the Commissioner of Police, on behalf of Inspector General of Police IGP Alkali Baba Usman congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to rededicate and redouble their commitment to duty to justify their promotion. He reminded the promotees that promotion come with additional responsibilities and therefore, should put in their best into whatever capacity they find themselves, especially in the fight against banditry in the State.
In his response, on behalf of the promotees, ACP Musa Muhammad Danko appreciated the Inspector General of Police for recommending the promotees to Police Service Commission for the promotion, he equally appreciated the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command and other senior officers of the Command for their leadership and mentoring while he promised that promotees will continue to redouble their effort in performing their duties, as “to whom much is given, much is expected” and they will not let the Force down.
