The Niger State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Obed Nuhu Nana, has extended warm Eid-el-Kabir greetings to Muslims in Niger State, across Nigeria, and the global Muslim Ummah.
In a goodwill message issued to mark the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the commissioner described the festival as a solemn reminder of the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, faith, compassion, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
Hon. Nana said the values associated with Eid-el-Kabir remain vital for promoting peaceful coexistence, strengthening unity, and fostering mutual understanding among citizens.
He urged residents of Niger State to use the occasion to pray for lasting peace, security, progress, and prosperity for the state and the country at large.
The commissioner also called on Nigerlites to continue promoting tolerance, love, and collective responsibility in support of efforts aimed at advancing the state’s development.
According to him, the festive period should also serve as a time to show kindness to the less privileged, support one another, and recommit to the ideals of justice, honesty, and selfless service to humanity.
Hon. Nana further encouraged residents to remain law-abiding and security conscious while supporting the developmental vision of Umaru Mohammed Bago toward building a more prosperous and united Niger State.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would accept the prayers, sacrifices, and acts of worship of the faithful, while granting peace, good health, harmony, and abundant blessings to all.
The commissioner wished Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid Mubarak celebration.
