The Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC),
Dr kashim Akor has organized an entrepreneurial training specially for youths of Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The training, focused on teaching the youths how to make products such as Vaseline Cream, Dettol, Car Wash, Liquid Soap, Insecticide, Body Jelly, Shampoo, and all other cosmetology, with participants drawn from the thirteen (13) wards across Ankpa Local Government Area.
The training was held at the prestigious GloryLand Institute of Management Studies, Ankpa, Kogi State.
The Chief Hostess of the programme, and Proprietress of the Institute,Hajia Vivian Idama during the flag off ceremony, expressed her great joy over the development for Ankpa youths. She further described ENTREPRENEURSHIP as ‘a process of making individuals explore their potentials, initiatives and creativity for greatness which will in turn build their self-confidence in order to become self-reliant and survive in the race of life.’
Hajia Idama used the occasion to advise all the participants to make judicious use of the rare opportunity given to them by the Director General, National. Productivity Centre, Abuja, Dr Kashim Akor.
She also used the medium to thank , President Muhammadu Buhari for finding Dr Kashim Akor worthy to pilot the affairs of the National Productivity Centre She then thanked the Chairman of Ankpa local government council, Hon.Abagwu Ibrahim for creating a crime-free environment for all to go about their normal businesses in the area.
The Chairman of Ankpa local government council, Hon.Abagwu Ibrahim who was ably represented by the council Secretary, Hon. Ray Idris Akus thanked the chief organizer of the programme, Dr Kashim Akor for this initiative and many others.He had accomplished forward the growth and development of Ankpa.
He also stressed the importance of building the entrepreneurial skills of the youths to combat unemployment and criminality associated with Joblessness.
In his words, ‘entrepreneur can change life meaningfully, the communities and nation in general.’ He then urged them to think on what they can do with the opportunity so that they can help the society, in return.
Dr Kashim Akor in his speech delivered by his representative, Miss Aladi Achimugwu at the two-day entrepreneurship training, said the training was designed to equip the youths with skills that will make them job creators rather than job.

Ibrahim Yahaya, chief of staff to the Executive chairman of Ankpa local government council,Hon leader and Councillors of the 7th Ankpa legislative council
