The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has congratulated the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 Corps Members on the successful completion of their one-year mandatory national service, urging them to remain committed to national unity, integrity, and entrepreneurship.
In a farewell message issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the NYSC Director General commended the corps members for their dedication, patriotism, and invaluable contributions to national development during their service year.
The DG praised the corps members for their diligence and selfless service at their various Places of Primary Assignment, noting that their efforts positively impacted host communities and reflected the true ideals of nation-building.
As they transition into the next phase of their lives, the NYSC boss encouraged them to uphold the values of discipline, unity, and service imbibed during the scheme, stressing that such virtues would continue to open doors of opportunity and guide them toward successful careers.
The Director General also urged the outgoing corps members to remain worthy ambassadors of the NYSC by demonstrating honour, integrity, and exemplary conduct wherever they find themselves.
Highlighting the importance of self-reliance, the DG advised the former corps members to leverage the knowledge and practical skills acquired through the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme to become successful entrepreneurs and employers of labour.
The NYSC helmsman further called on the outgoing corps members to sustain their belief in the unity of Nigeria, emphasizing that building a better nation requires the commitment and active participation of every citizen.
Reaffirming the Scheme’s enduring motto, the Director General reminded the corps members that “Nigeria is ours; Nigeria we serve,” while wishing them success in their future endeavours.
