The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced Tuesday, July 7, 2026, as the commencement date for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Orientation Course for prospective corps members deployed to Niger State.
According to a statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the orientation exercise will temporarily hold at the NYSC Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Permanent Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja, due to the ongoing renovation of the NYSC Orientation Camp in Paiko by the Niger State Government.
The scheme disclosed that registration for the orientation course will begin on Tuesday, July 7, and end at midnight on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
It added that the swearing-in ceremony for the 21-day orientation programme is scheduled for Thursday, July 9, while the closing ceremony will take place on Monday, July 27, 2026.
NYSC management advised all prospective corps members to avoid night travel while proceeding to the orientation camp and wished them safe journeys.
The statement reaffirmed the scheme’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and safe orientation exercise despite the temporary relocation of the camp.
