The National Youth Service Corps has announced a change in the commencement date for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course in Enugu State and Osun State, with the exercise now set to begin on April 28 and end on May 18, 2026.
The scheme said the orientation programme in the two states will start one week after the exercise begin in the other 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory, where the programme is scheduled to hold from April 22 to May 12, 2026.
According to a statement signed by the Director, Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the adjustment became necessary due to ongoing extensive renovation of orientation camps in Enugu and Osun by the state governments.
The NYSC urged prospective corps members deployed to the affected states to take note of the revised dates and comply accordingly.
The scheme also wished all prospective corps members a safe journey to their states of deployment.
