Oyo 2027 Aspirant Bakare Sympathises with Adelabu Family, Demands Swift Action on Kidnap Victims

Oyo State governorship aspirant, Dr. Ololade Usman Bakare, has expressed deep sympathy to the family of Chief Adebayo Adelabu following the abduction of Adelabu’s sister and her twin sons, while calling on the state government and security agencies to intensify efforts towards their immediate rescue.

In a statement personally signed and issued on Wednesday, Bakare described the kidnapping as a distressing incident that has caused immense pain and anxiety to the family, assured them of his solidarity and support during the difficult period.

The governorship hopeful also acknowledged the efforts of government and security agencies in tackling the recent wave of kidnappings across parts of Oyo State, including the abduction of students and teachers in schools within Oriire Local Government Area.

According to him, the ongoing interventions by security operatives demonstrated a commitment to protecting lives and restoring public confidence in the state’s security architecture.
However, Bakare stressed the need for urgent and decisive action to secure the safe release of the abducted family members of Chief Adelabu, noting that the gravity of the situation demands the deployment of all available resources and strategic measures.

“The urgency of this matter cannot be overstated. Every necessary effort must be intensified to ensure the immediate and safe return of the victims,” he said.
He further urged residents of the state to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by promptly reporting suspicious movements and activities within their communities.

Bakare also commended law enforcement personnel for their dedication and sacrifices in maintaining public safety despite the risks associated with their duties.
Reaffirming his commitment to peace and security, the aspirant expressed hope for the safe return of all abducted persons and pledged support for lawful efforts aimed at restoring stability across Oyo State.

The kidnapping of Adelabu’s sister and her twin sons has generated widespread concern among residents, with many calling for strengthened security measures to curb the growing threat of abduction in the state.
