The executive secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Uja Tor Uja has said that pilgrimage to Jerusalem belongs to all churches, and not NCPC alone. Adding that Christians, especially leaders of the church should always make out time from their busy schedules to visit Jerusalem for prayers.
Rev. Uja who stated this at the weekend in Abuja during the Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International -Nigeria (FGBMFI) ,strategic breakfast meeting held in his honour, urged members of Full Gospel Fellowship to become the pillar of movement to pilgrimage.
He noted that FGBMFI as a fellowship which brings all churches together to communicate with God should organise and mobilise African leaders, especially leaders of the fellowship in other countries who are weaker than Nigeria to embark on special pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
“My coming into NCPC today as executive secretary is an opportunity for the church to come together, show by example and prepare for advancement for the kingdom of God, both in Nigeria and globally.”
“I want all leaders to prepare and go on a collective pilgrimage together first, have time to pray, discuss and understand the fabrics of the gospel, so that in the coming year and years, they will be in better position to interpret this to pilgrims and they will be part of mobilising to pilgrimage, also be involved in participation and definitions of the programmes.”
“Nigeria has the most spiritual leaders of God in the world today, so i enjoin you to rise up and serve as pilgrimage ministers then lead people to Christ. The best place to have this done is in Jerusalem which is the melting point of faith, serve the Lord and advance the frontiers of gospel, push forward the philosophy of this country that God has given to us,” he said.
He maintained that the Full Gospel Fellowship which is stronger in Nigeria than any part of the world, including the United States where it started, should use the opportunity to invest in pilgrimage.
The executive secretary urged the fellowship members not to serve with slacked hands but rather be blessings to others, adding that Christian pilgrimage should be the announcement of what the Lord is doing, not by actions, but by outputs.
While commending Full Gospel Fellowship for their prayerful support and honour given to him, he challenged them to win more souls to the Fellowship of God.
