The National Coordinator of the Door-2-Door grassroots movement, Comrade Sunday Adekanbi, has hailed the emergence of Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), described him as “a square peg in a square hole.”
In a statement released on Sunday on behalf of the movement’s Founder and Grand Patron, High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd (TSSNL), Adekanbi congratulated Professor Yilwatda on what he termed a well-deserved election victory.
“On behalf of Door-2-Door and our highly esteemed Patron, High Chief (Dr.) Government Ekpemupolo, we extend heartfelt congratulations to Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda on his emergence as the National Chairman of the APC,” the statement read.
The group further expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the APC for making what it described as a visionary and prudent decision.
“We commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC NEC for their collective wisdom in identifying and electing a leader of Professor Yilwatda’s calibre. His emergence signifies a promising future for our great party,” Adekanbi noted.
Describing the new Chairman as a capable and visionary leader, the group stated:
“Professor Yilwatda is, in every sense, a square peg in a square holea perfect fit for the demanding role of APC National Chairman. His distinguished record of public service, political insight, and commitment to democratic ideals makes him eminently qualified to lead the APC.”
Highlighting his decades of experience, Adekanbi emphasized that Yilwatda’s track record in governance, policy development, and political strategy would be vital in repositioning the APC for future electoral victories.
“We have every confidence that under his leadership, the APC will be strengthened institutionally and ideologically. His vision and strategic acumen will reinvigorate grassroots mobilization and unify Nigerians behind the party’s progressive agenda.”
Reaffirming the group’s loyalty to the APC and the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027, the statement added:
“As espoused by our Grand Patron, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, Door-2-Door remains fully committed to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Our goal of delivering 10 million votes in the 2027 general elections remains unwavering and non-negotiable.”
In closing, Adekanbi once again congratulated Professor Yilwatda, President Tinubu, and the entire APC family:
