The GreenLand News Magazine in Conjunction with Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ FCT Council is organising a Lecture/Award in commemoration of World Press Day.
Annually, on May 3, the world celebrates the fundamental principles of press freedom, to evaluate press freedom around the world, to defend the media from attacks on their independence and to pay tribute to journalists, who have lost their lives in the exercise of their profession.
Reflecting this reality, this year’s title of the conference is ‘Shaping a future of rights – Freedom of Expression as a driver for all other human rights’ signifying the enabling element of freedom of expression to enjoy and protect all other human rights.
A Press Statement signed by the Editor-in-Chief of the GreenLand News Magazine and Online Mrs Peace Ofeoshi indicated that the event is scheduled to hold on Wednesday 3rd May 2023, time is 12noon and the venue of the event is the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council Office, Utako Abuja.
