Tinubu Championing Africa’s Economic Growth Through Nigeria’s Reforms — TDF

The Democratic Front (TDF) has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for advocating global financial reforms aimed at accelerating economic growth and development across Africa.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Mallam Danjuma Muhammad, and Secretary, Chief Wale Adedayo, the group said the ongoing economic reforms in Nigeria have placed President Tinubu in a strong position to champion Africa’s economic transformation on the global stage.

According to TDF, the President’s efforts in repositioning Nigeria’s economy from what it described as a “public-regulated environment” to a private sector-driven market economy are already attracting increasing local and foreign investments.

The group noted that the reforms have created momentum not only for Nigeria’s growth but also for broader economic advancement across the African continent.

“It is indeed heartening that President Tinubu’s success in resetting the Nigerian economy from a public-regulated environment to a private sector-led free market investment ecosystem is generating momentum for accelerated economic growth on the African continent,” the statement said.

TDF further stated that the President spoke “from a position of strength and knowledge” when he recently called for global financial reforms to support Africa’s development at a continental economic forum in Nairobi.

The group argued that Nigeria’s economic transition demonstrates the vast potential available for rapid industrialisation and sustainable development in Africa if global financial institutions support reforms tailored to the continent’s realities.

It urged international financial institutions and global investors to embrace President Tinubu’s position on the need for reforms capable of unlocking Africa’s economic potential.

The forum also described President Tinubu as a leading voice for continental economic integration and emerging African leadership in the global economy.

According to the statement, Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms, though difficult, are necessary steps toward building a productive and competitive economy that can serve as a model for other African nations.

TDF also called on Nigerians to continue supporting the administration’s policies and programmes, expressed confidence that the reforms would ultimately yield long-term economic benefits for the country and the continent at large.
