In the history of Nigeria, when change of guard from one two term administration to the other was being witnessed , the atmosphere is always tensed up either from political gladiators, bitter rivalry and the zeal to outdo others, by series of contestants with determination not to loose, but win their various contestations.
But , alas in a sane democratic dispensation and transition, we must carry along not only the spirit of give and take, sportsmanship, but winners and losers, therefore the need to be magnanimous both in victory and lost.
The desperate tendencies of winner takes all , has overridden the basis of democratic tenets across the globe, with Nigeria not in exception, owing to bitter rivalry and politicking.
For Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, SSA to the President on Sustainable Development Goals SSAP-SDGs away from bureaucratic, technocratic, administrative and political acumen garnered for close to four decades, democratic practices is not only supposed to be an interesting game devoid of needless acrimony, but prayers for divine intervention, guide and guard.
Her strong beliefs in prayers and decades of experiences in the management of both human and materials, formed the basis of her resolutions that prayers was the key to all successes in life.
Hence, her strong advocacy and biblical beliefs that most of our activities and life experiences often times, was determined by the spiritual realm before it’s manifestation in our life expectations.
Her decisions to convene an assemblage of women across the country in Lagos for prayer session before the commencement of campaigns for the forthcoming 2023 general elections in November 1 was not out of place, but her strong beliefs that with prayers mountains can be moved.
Lagos as a cosmopolitan state represents the entire country, consisting of all tribes , races, religions, extractions, shades and opinions, that occasioned her determination to kick start prayers for a peaceful elections and transition, and as a politician of high repute for four decades, she demanded fervent prayers from Nigerian women for the victory of APC National leader and Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu BAT and Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu of Lagos state and all other contestants under the All Progressives Congress APC in Lagos state and the country at large.
Aside knowing the efficacy of prayers and it’s positive consequences, assemblage of women for prayers made the whole session divine, as the Lord seems more divinely accepting women prayers by virtue of their positions, responsibilities and stance in life.
For women are known to be more solemn in prayers requests, supplications and demands before our creator than the men folk, giving the percentage and sane statisitics.
Bringing prayer forth as advocated and practised by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals SSAP-SDGS, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire inspite of her tight schedules both locally and internationally was a demonstration of a sane public figure whose power wrest solely on prayers.
For this singular decisions of her to gather women across the country to pray for the victory of APC in the forthcoming elections, no doubt a glaring display that the victory of BAT has been presented before Almighty God through prayers and supplications.
The new idea and ideals initiated by Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire was novel and a conviction that the process towards the forthcoming general elections in 2023 in Nigeria had a divine touch already, as the spiritual realm will definitely manifest in favour of APC in all elections in Nigeria.
For Adefulire, prayers is a strong weapon being deployed in the cause of life expectations, having started with prayers solely organised in her immediate constituency, communities, local government areas and state, no doubt APC will carry the day at all levels.
The take from the international figure of many decades experience is for us to start all life endeavors with prayers,as prayers is key and can change all things.
As a strong national figure, public servant of high repute, no doubt her prayers session observed with Nigerian women will see the light of the day, and victory for All Progressives Congress APC, in Nigeria.
