The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended warm Easter greetings to Nigerians, particularly the Christian community, urged them to reflect on the values of hope, sacrifice, and unity during the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
In a press statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, described Easter as a season that embodies the victory of light over darkness and life over death.
“Easter, which marks the end of the Lenten season of fasting and penitence, is core to the Christian faith. It symbolizes God’s eternal triumph over death and the power of light over darkness,” the statement read.
The ruling party called on citizens to imbibe the virtues of patience, resilience, and love, drawing inspiration from the sacrificial life and resurrection of Christ.
As Nigeria continues to navigate various socio-economic challenges, the APC expressed optimism that the blessings of Easter would strengthen President Bola Tinubu and his administration in the task of nation-building.
The party also urged Nigerians to extend kindness to the less privileged and to remain steadfast in prayer for national peace, security, and development.
“We also pray for the safety and success of our gallant troops on the frontlines, as they courageously defend our freedom and homeland,” the statement added.
The APC concluded by wishing all Nigerians a joyful and peaceful Easter celebration.
