APC LG CONGRESS: GOV SANI-BELLO, COMMITTEE CHAIR, COMMEND STAKEHOLDERS FOR PEACEFUL, RANCOUR- FREE PROCESS

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello and Chairman, Ward and Local Government Congress, Chief Ray Murphy has commended All Progressive Congress, APC Stakeholders for a peaceful, rancour-free ward and local government congress in the state.

 

The Chairman of Ward and Local Government Congress committee in Niger State, Chief Ray Murphy said the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress ( APC) has adjudged congresses held in the state as the best in the country.

 

This is coming on the heels of Governor Abubakar Sani -Bello commendation of delegates for conducting a peaceful local government congress across the state.

 

Governor Sani-Bello applauded delegates while on the spot assessment of the local government congress in Chanchaga Local Government Area of the state along side Chairman of the congress committee, Chief Ray Murphy and other party executives.

 

He also confirmed that the congress across the 25 local government areas in the state went successful.

 

According to the governor, “Our Local Government Congress is ongoing. The one we witnessed is that of Chanchaga Local Government Area and it went well. We have reached some consensus and we had a peaceful and rancor free local government congress.

 

“Though we are still awaiting more reports from other local government areas but reports from some councils so far showed that the congress was rancor free, peaceful and orderly”.

 

The governor also accorded commendation to the party’s Ward and Local Government Congress committee as well as other party stakeholders for their effort in ensuring a peaceful congress.

 

Earlier the Chairman of the committee, Chief Ray Murphy who expressed satisfaction in the process adopted in conducting the exercise, disclosed that the State had so far been commended nation wide for conducting a peaceful ward congress and advised other states to emulate the Niger model.

 

“We were able to successfully conduct the ward congress last week and the whole Nigeria is happy with Niger State as well as your Governor.”

 

“The whole country has said that people should come to Niger State to learn how politics is played .” He added.

 

Meanwhile, the Member representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the national assembly, Hon. Umar Bago said the congress has further strengthened the party.

 

He also observed that the two congresses held so far have helped the party to identified some areas that require attention. He disclosed that the party will be restrategizing by going back to the drawing board, in order to address such areas of concern.
