More individuals and groups have been applauding the recent milestone achievement recorded by the Corporate Affairs Commission as a result of the successful unveiling of the Beneficial Ownership Register (BOR).
The newest among them is the Centre for Fiscal Transparency and Integrity Watch, which was led by the Executive Director, Umar Yakubu, to the Commission on a congratulatory visit.
Umar Yakubu, who spoke during a courtesy call on the Registrar-General/CEO of the Corporate Affairs Commission, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, stressed that transparency and integrity of record were key to the success of the BOR.
He therefore enjoined the CAC to ensure the integrity and transparency of the records as well as guarantee frequent improvement where necessary for the benefit of its valued users, and added that the Centre was always ready to partner with the Commission in that regard.
While responding, Registrar-General,CAC, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, assured that the commission will continue to improve its ICT infrastructure with a view to providing efficient services as the only government agency with a full self-service portal.
On the center’s request for collaboration, the RG assured that the Commission’s ICT team was ready to work out modalities within the framework of the law.
