The Practitioners of Content Creation, Skit Making, and Influencers Guild of Nigeria have lent their voice to the Corporate Affairs Commission’s initiative to vigorously formalise unregistered businesses in the country.
The President of the Association, Michael Nwabufo, AKA Mike Premium, stated this today April 26th in Abuja when he led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Registrar-General/CEO CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji,SAN.
Michael Nwabufo said, contrary to misconception, the CAC move was well intentioned, aimed at protecting and promoting the interests of all practitioners in the industry.
While harping on the need for the Commission to ensure that more Nigerian youth formalise their businesses without bottlenecks, Mike Premium pledged to collaborate with the CAC to adequately sensitise members of the benefits derivable from registration.
Some members of the delegation took turns expressing their readiness to work with the Commission through engaging programmes designed to be mutually beneficial.
Also speaking, Tokoni Igoin Peter S.A to the President on ICT Development and Innovation applauded the initiative and said it would no doubt impact positively on the development of the content creation industry.
The Registrar-General, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji said the idea of formalising businesses along the continent creation sector was in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s desire to empower the youths and make them economically stable.
Speaking further on the benefits of registration, Hussaini Magaji added that content creators could secure and individually protect their names as well as obtain government grants and loans to enhance their brands.
He therefore enjoined them to abide by the provisions of Section 863 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act,CAMA 2020, to formalise their businesses individually or collectively through bulk registration at minimal costs.
CAC News reports that the highlight of the meeting was the decoration of the acting President of the association, Michael Nwabufo, aka Mike Premium, as CAC Ambassador.
