Democracy Day: Niger Gov’s Aide,Nma Kolo lauds state’s progress

The Special Adviser Political and Strategy to the Niger State Governor,Mohammed Nma Kolo, has said that the state has recorded tremendous progress in the current administration and urged Nigerlites to cooperate with Governor Abubakar Sani Bello’s efforts for more development.
Kolo, in a Democracy Day message, asked the people of Niger State and Nigeria to persist in prayers for the guidance of leaders in order to achieve harmony between citizens and government.
Recalling that the government of Niger state, like most state governments in the country, is today battling to reconcile the provision of development to the people and a discouraging security situation that is nationwide.
“With improved cooperation and understanding from the public, every problem can be surmounted. We need to eschew the urge to politicize issues of security and join hands with government to ensure the return of public security and safety which is paramount to every society.
“With security, the North can feed itself and feed the nation, but when agricultural activities come under threat, we are bound to feel the pain more than other parts of the country.
“This makes it a vital task to be undertaken by all of us to collaborate and redefine our collective will to confront the current multiple and intersecting challenges so as to be sure of a secure future for our children,” Kolo said.
He then recognized the relentless prayers by the clergymen for enduring peace in the state and said they certainly have a great role to play in remolding the society as well as provide guidance to the public that looks up to them.
