EID-EL-FITR: Niger SSG greets muslims, preaches peace, love, tolerance

As millions of Nigerian Muslims join their counterparts across the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr, the Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane has urged Muslims to remain steadfast in the worship of Allah and to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as they did during the month of Ramadan.

The SSG who disclosed this in his message to commemorate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr on behalf of the Government and people of the State asked Muslims to continue to uphold the ideals of piety, patience, perseverance, humility, and self-denial which were observed vigorously during the month of Ramadan.

He implored Muslims to always uphold the spirit of brotherhood of mankind as enjoined by Allah in the Holy Quran through promoting peace, unity, and progress of the State.

“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the end of the Ramadan fast, I urge everyone, regardless of our religious beliefs, to continue to pray for peace, end to security challenges and for growth and development to be accelerated in Niger State and Nigeria as a whole”, SSG stated.

Ahmed Matane also reassured the people of the State that the present administration of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello will not waver in its determination to provide robust security in the State that guarantees every law-abiding citizen the liberty to live in peace with one another.

The SSG wished all Muslim faithful a joyful and peaceful Eid-el Fitr celebration.
